89 9000 turbo. I have leak that from all looks (removing alt. and brake cleaning oil filter housing) is at the oil filter housing. Bought a new oil sending unit, but being new to the Saab thing I keep seeing that some people talk about the "O" ring for the sending unit. The parts store said that the flat crush washer was the only thing that went on it. Also, has anyone ever had a cracked oil filter housing.
Thanks for any help.

I have the same problem on my 89 9000 Turbo. I haven't got round to checking what it is yet, but I have come across similar on a 900. This turned out to be the oil pressure sender leaking. Replacing it cured the fault. It's a bit harder to see on the 9000, as the early one's had the filter on the back of the engine.
