In the last few days I have noticed a small oil leak at the front of my engine. There is a pipe that comes out the top of the turbo and then bends down underneath it. The oil seems to be coming from the bottom of this pipe ( I think it may be corroded). What exactly is this pipe? and do I have a potentially serious problem?

I had a leak in the same place on my Carlsson. I was getting a bad burnt oil smell at the same time, this turned out to be due to a worn/damaged O-ring.

This joint nearly always leaks, even with a new o-ring. I fixed it by fitting two o-rings, one stacked above the other.

Is this the steel pipe from the turbo leading to the oil filter housing? This has a tendency to corrode because of the heat from the turbo/manifold....replace this with new from SAAB and get new washers as well.
