On a 1989 B202 9000, and probably on others, the oil filler pipe is bolted to the sump by a single bolt.

It is a round-headed bolt with a recess for a 5mm hexagonal socket.

I'm logging this info in the hope that it might save someone else the 60 minutes I spent finding it out.

The head of the bolt is invisible from above and certainly full of general gunge, and almost totally inaccessible. I was convinced it was a torx bolt at first.

Anyway, removing the filler tube, replacing the O ring and smearing silicone everywhere has finally cured my long standing oil leak.
