hi guys i am doing a oil change tomorrow on my " 2009 saab 9-3 linear se 2.0t convertable. petrol "

can you guys recommend a good oil variant to use please as i am have been looking at

Halfords 5W30 Vauxhall/Opel GM Fully Synthetic Oil 5L £32

Mobil 1 ESP 0W40 Engine Oil 5Litre £60

Castrol Magnatec 5W30 C3 Oil 4 Litre £32

but not sure if they have any real difference and if the price diff makes it worth it

As long as its fully synthetic I wouldnt worry about branding.
Its more important to change the oil regularly and at least every 6000miles.

I use the Halford 5W/30 for all my cars but then again I buy it at Xmas when its on offer every yer for about £10 for 4L

The Halfords is rebadged Comma (if you buy it in the boxes of x6 it comes in a Comma box!)

Shame you can't wait a few days for delivery or leave it 'til next weekend. I rarely pay more than £20 for 5 litres and I change my oil and filter every 5k miles without fail:

0w 40 oil,your turbo will thank you..i do an oil change once a yr with oe filter,reason being some of the a/m filters out there compress when the cap is tightened down,seen them also not all filters are the same....i use mobil 1..http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-68959-mobil-1-0w-40-new-life-fully-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx need around 6.2 litres..
