can you explain more ? i know when i leave sidelights on and exit the car they remain on, but in normal driving conditions when I have switch off lights are off.Its strange that its faulty just right after I pick it up from an MOT ?

Did they change any bulbs as part of getting through the MOT? In my experience, testing garages often fix little things like that as they find them. They'll have charged you for it!

Wrong bulbs in 9000s can do very odd things (my symptom was the engine wouldn't cut out until I turned the lights off )

went back and checked the fuseboard, yes they have indeed put a fuse in the daylight driving light. Removed it and all is well, they didnt even charge me for the fuse.

Thanks scminks for the correct path.
