What place in Ashby De La Zouch !?

You're not thinking of Ashby Garage in Ashby Parva are you. Thats where I got my Carly from, I wouldn't recommend them personally.

I recommend TSL but if you're on a really tight budget there will be cheaper places.

Re: Midlands non francised workshops

My major gripe with Ashby Garage (in Ashby Parva), is that they charged me £4500 for my 1989 Carly in Nov 1999. I put down a deposit on the grounds that the previous owner returned the complete service history and that would be supplied. All I got was a replacement log book with a few sketchy details (I know, that's where I shoulda walked away).

Since then I've paid out (now) nearly £4K in servicing and repairs without touching major stuff, timing chain, tappets gearbox work etc. This is why I withdrew the car from sale, it's just not fair to lumber someone else with it

I just feel that they fed me a lot of bull which ended up costing me a lot of money! For that reason I wouldn't use them again. Other people may feel more generous of course.
