Hi Saab Newbie here
Yesterday I had the 72,000 mile service completed on my 2006 9-3 SportWagon TiD.
This morning on the way to work I had the warning "Battery not charging etc. etc" plus baterry light. Immediate thoughts - alternator problem.
I have seen all the alternator problems people get in this Forum , but my question is - does anyone know if the 72,000 mile service involves disturbing the alternator in any way? do they have to touch the alternator / belt when replacing the Timing belt for instance ? useful info for when I go back to the garage and start wingeing
I am wondering if it is a case that the Technician hasn't replaced something correctly, or am I just the victim of a cruel coincidence and the alternator starts to pack in the day after a major service ?
Cheers
