On my fourth Saab(!) but the first time owning one on the Isle of Wight. My local (non-Saab) garage can't diagnose the "Check Engine" warning light with their diagnostic software and unfortunately I don't seem to be able to find a Saab Specialist on the Island; the nearest one listed is Southampton. Can anyone confirm this to be true, or is there help close at hand?!
Hello and welcome to Saabscene. I live on the IW but am away at present sliding down mountains! The only guy to talk to is Rob on 07861289773. He does not have the Tech 2, but something similar plus a great deal of knowledge. Btw, the last Saab dealership was in East Cowes, York Avenue garage. They gave it up many moons ago.
Harry0 - Have fun with the sliding and many thanks for taking the time to reply. I will be sure to give Rob a call and see what he has to say. Enjoy your holiday; the weather hear has been pretty shocking!
7yrs years late, But having owned many 99 & 900's years ago when I also worked for a SAAB garage (Not main-dealer), I came back to SAAB having an optional 9-3 Diesel, Yes I'm having extensive knowledge fixing it since owning it, I also can "Op-Com" diagnose the KWP2000 & CAN-BUS platforms with it, Did I mention I'm on the IOW too.
