Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone can help me out with this. Essentially, I bought a used Saab 9-3 Linear for my first car last month, and I haven't had many issues. One annoying one that comes up occasionally on the SID is "Lock System Failure. Please Contact Saab Dealer."

I only get this occasionally, and its usually triggered by locking the doors via the switch inside the car. However I've had a couple times (2 times max) where the keyless remote and inside locks would cut out for a couple minutes and I couldn't lock the doors then after coming pack a couple minutes after it would work.

Does anyone have any suggestions or know what this might be?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have just encountered this problem on my 2003 Aero, I am in need of some help!

I have the warning on the SID and have managed to find out it is the rear passenger side door. When you lock/unlock the door from either the remote or from inside the car you can hear the lock clicking away.
The door is staying locked and I am unable to open it to gain access to the lock to try spraying WD40 or seeing if there is an obvious problem.

Does anybody have an idea of how I can get the rear door open?

I have the same issue with my rear D/S door. door is locked and getting the same SID message. I'm certain the accutator id shot but does anyone know how to open the door to remove the part. I can get as far as removing the skin.
