Does anyone know of a way of a DIY adjustment of the kickdown cables on an auto gearbox, Haynes manual suggests it is an easy step of moving the cable within it's clasp, however, speaking to my local dealer he said a special tool was needed to hold open the throttle butterfly in order to adjust the 2 cables. This of course may be my only option, but like most people, if I can do it myself for 'free' I would prefer to do so
