Hi everyone,
a simple question, is the engine radiator identical for all 9000's. We have a rad where the top coolent hose elbow has broken (heat? age?) leaving not enough stub to clamp the hose to!

Our 9000 is a facelifted automatic LPT CSE ie twin bulb headlamps with climate control.
In the scrapyard we can take a rad from an automatic & air con CSE.
The question is, can we take out this rad throw away the fan & its mounting ,disconnect the Air con rad (which is smaller in area than ours) from the engine rad & have the right radiator for our car?

We've been told the rads are all the same except for maybe some Carlsson's ie injected/LPT/Full pressure, 2.0l & 2.3l, distributor/DI cartridge it doesn't matter 'cos its the same one

Any comments will be helpful, Regards: Frank

Autos and manual have differnt rads as the auto one incorporates a transmission fluid cooler. You can put an auto in a manual car, but not the other way round.

Auto rads from 1990 onwards will be OK.
