Aside from doing an annual Saab service, is there any need/ benefits to undertaking a mid-year/ mini service? Or is it OK to just fluid levels etc. and leave it at that?

For ref I have a 1997 9000 2.3 Eco Auto

Changing the oil and oil filter every 6,000 miles (on a car with a 12,000 mile service interval) is a good thing

We assume that you are using "proper" oil, i.e. 0W-40 or 5W-40 full synthetic.
