When I did mine I used a 1/4 inch drive with extensions, open ended spanner/ring spanner to initially turn it and then I attacked it from all sorts of different angles, not just from directly above and I used one of those flexible tubes with the integral magnet(1kg lifting capacity) to remove them(and replace) when finally loosened. Fiddly and time consuming but yes it can be done.

Socket extensions and swivel/knuckle joint.
Also if you've removed all the other bolts I would put one of the top easy to get at ones back in, otherwise when you slacken the last lower bolt the inlet manifold may fall and make it awkward to remove

Elastic arms and three hands also help
