Son's car just started making quite the racket, sounds like something rubbing on the right side fan. You can feel the fan rub when it's moved. Can't see anything, and really don't have time at the moment to figure out how to remove the fan. Does anyone know if there is a fuse, relay, or connecter I can remove to shut down that fan only? Currently I have the 'big' connector removed between both fans so he could drive it home. Thankfully it's cool here and I had him turn the interior heat on high, engine never got up to halfway hot on the gauge.

Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated!

Thanks!

that connector does the cooling fans and the a/c fan..if he gets stuck in traffic, the car will over heat and engine damage could occur..not a good idea imo.

Yeah, I've got him limited to 10 miles trips, educated him about watching the temp gauge, and the need to pull over and shut it down if it gets over halfway up the gauge. Fortunately it's still cold here in the eastern US and we are in a rural area, so no traffic jams. Tried today to pull the fans out to see what's rubbing, but couldn't figure out how to get the darn things out without disconnecting the AC system.
