A question from the nursery end, I'm afraid. Simply, what does the designation HOT on some SAAB's stand for?

High Output Turbo, normally reserved for the Aero's.

Thanks for that. Easy when you know how, really. The question was actually posed by my father-in-law who has a nice rag-top 9-3 (his 5th or 6th SAAB after converting from a long series of M-B's)and, although I didn't know the answer I suspected that, through the newly-found wonders of Saabscene, I could easily find out. I like it here.
