A very quick google translation:
Saab 9-3 Cabrio of deer performance

More Sweden power

Saab Veredler deer performance submits of 9-3 Cabrio of a force cure that. Technically and optically it leaves a strong impression.

11.11.2003 - Pc. Gallen deer performance presents a complete accessories program for new 9-3 Cabrio as Tuning and improving partner of Saab . The engine performance increase trains both the 1.8t-Motor (150 HP) and the 2.0t (175 HP) on 195 HP and 295 Newtonmeters torque ? thus the open Swede 230 runs km/h and settles the Sprint on 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. Also the 9-3,2,0 aero receives a force increase, its series achievement from 210 HP to 230 HP is increased. The result: With a maximum speed of 240 km/h the aero sprintet in 7.4 seconds of 0 to 100 km/h.

The principle is comparatively simple: The software of the engine expensive equipment was designed consistently for gasoline with 98 oktan. Although the load pressure was only easily increased, achievement and torque could be increased clearly and "specific gasoline consumption" be lowered. Swiss Tuningschmiede however still hold back absolute values consumed.

For minimum exhaust counter-pressure and better responsing mode of the engine a sport exhaust system made of high-grade steel provides. In order to round the Tuning off optically, there is a sport chassis with a setting lower by 15 millimeters as well as three-spoke rims with 23ër tyre. The price for the force cure amounts to for all three engine variants 1100 euro.[/b]

You reckon? I think it's a pretty clever reworking of the old 3-spoke Aero design, it's "challenging", i.e. not as immediately gorgeous as the old 6-spokers but I reckon that they will be a grower. Time will tell of course.

You are not alone /john, I absolutely hate three spoke wheels but was always too scared to say that on a Saab forum...................oops

(that's gonna cost me some stars!)

Abbott's performance figures are better, though.[/b]
James - you have to go back and read the numbers - on the 9,3SS Aero, both Hirsch and Abbott deliver the same outcome - 230bhp and 330nm of torque. Abbott pricing is lower however. I'm not sure about the wheels either - I have to wonder how it rides on 19" wheels - that's a pretty low profile.

For me its not aggressive enough in the styling department, the power on the Aero is only up to 230 BHP, Speedparts are quoting 247 BHP on their particular upgrade.

If you are going to do a Hirsch model you have to add more than just 19' Wheels which anybody else can copy and fit just as easily.

It needs to be totally evident to the average punter in the street that YOU have the ultimate incarnation of the 93 Cabrio.

And there is that colour - Some dozy soul in Saab AB thinks it is a cool colour - I have only seen one one the road that isn't a demo - it seems a lot of dealers still have the lime yellow launch cars stuck on the forecourt,

As for the wheels - maybe they were designed by someone at BMW? Same lack of style and taste

On the contrary, in a world of ubiquitous silver cars, the use of this colour is different, and stands out. Whether you like the colour or not, I think that it was a good idea not to use a silver or a black car in the marketing of the 9-3 Sports Convertible.

/John I'd agree that Silver or Black wouldn't be right - choosing a nice colour that is unique to the car would have been wiser - perhaps a pearlescent dark blue

Saab completely missed what makes people buy Saab cars - subtle understatment. The product misses the social cachet/image of the Mercs and BMWs. Outrageous green/gold looks fine on an M3 and hopelessly out of place on a Saab.

You could be forgiven that someone has a malicious desire to kill Saab through duff marketing decisions

Cosmic93Auto, You don't have to like the colour, ...the fact that is a striking colour that is used in all the marketing means that people will remember it.

..after all - it has had the desired effect and has got you talking about it.
