I just bought a mint 02 9-3 se sedan with 62K miles with a bad engine (b205r high pressure) and the only affordable engines I can find are low pressure b204L units. I am told that as long as I swap the intake, turbo, ignition cassette etc. on to the new engine it'll be just fine but I hate to make an expensive mistake. My mechanic says please make sure this was done before we make the switch. Can anyone verify this? I have read bunch of stuff online and it's pretty confusing.
Thanks a million.

I could be wrong, but I would guess putting a T5 motor in a T7 car would come some issue. Most likely cause hard to (if at all) repair CEL's and some components not working at all
