It looks like I'm going to have to put a hold on the expensive performance mods I'd planned for the Aero, I got my notice today so will be saving my pennies hard frmo now.

Hope you get something sorted soon, although you could sell the common aero, and use the proceeds to mod the rather rarer better carlsson!!!!

Sorry to hear it. I hope everything works out ok. And don't worry about the Aero, it is reliable enough that you can do the mods later and it'll be just fine.

Thank you Andra.

Just to top it off, I found out last night my current job still exists, but I can't have it...

Really bad news that, what area of IT are you in?

From your latest post sounds like time to find a good no win no fee lawyer specialising in employment law & threaten a tribunal.

Best of Luck Andrew, hopefully you'll have more luck than me.

But your'e in IT they are wanted everywhere - keep looking  [/b]
True, but most employers are very specific about the particular skills and/or professional certification any candidate must have. It's a common misconception amongst non-IT people that computers systems are all a muchness and that as an IT bod you can migrate your skills to unfamiliar systems at the drop of a hat. Unfortunately this isn't the case.

I've been trying to change job for the last 3 years, in my experience it seems most companies want the honey but not the sting. Very few companies are willing to fund training for new employees and in many cases new employees are expected to hit the ground running.

True Jason

That was a generalised statement - not an ignorant one

Whatever your specialised area and systems in IT, it is still an upwardly moving and mobile area with a wide selection of jobs in many places unlike alot of other jobs that are very place and company specific.

But as an IT bod you are constantly having to update your skills and widen your experiences where possible. Else them there youngsters fresh from college/Uni and wet behind the ears jump in cause they have the latest training and come cheaper.

Mind you to get slightly back to the thread, its still a bummer if you can't do any more mods on the cars. But then borrowing from another thread would 'we' consider a J reg Carly as an old banger and would it be worth any modifications?

(thats put the cat among the pigeons now)
