Starting off the pictures then

We had an excellent Saab turn out- well done all. At one point I think there were about 15-16 Saabs in the paddock!

Attendees: (there were more, I just didn't get everyone's names )

Scaero & dad
BillJ & dad
/john
Big Nev
Ragtopcav & brother
Jason
JezF
TFatC
97 anniversary
Halcyon & Mrs Halcyon (sorry , was it Tina?)
ylee coyote
Munki
Pete Tandino
Mark E

I think there's at least 12 Saabs in this one:

Scaero

The Stig?

Slopey shoulders

And dispelling the myth that /john doesn't do any work on cars:

All good fun, if bloomin cold. My fingers were too numb to operate the camera controls by the end.

Thanks to Jez for a drive of his Elise: what a hoot
. The engine was so more flexible than I thought it would be. There's only one thing I'd add to the car- A hoist to get me out!! And lastly, providing a bit of a reaction test for me and proving that having a flash car doesn't preclude you from traction problems:

Shame that Bill had problems (albeit minor) with the Aero again
,
As you say it was great to get a spin in the Elise - what a great noise

Some fab pics, Mark! Yes, me thinks the Mazzer is more a S class rival than a sports car, judging by how soft the suspension is.

Glad you guys liked my 'little' car - the sound really makes it all the more exciting.
Should be interesting to see how it performs at Emerald. Thanks also to Mark for a drive in his 9k - I want AP brakes!

First time round a track in a Saab, thanks to John/ and Scearo. Have to say, I was quite surprised at how fast they both were!!

Final Scimitar shot

There are also some ugly photo's from very early in the morning with 3-4 bleary eyed Saabscener's which I've omitted to include...

Here's the "best of" my 50 odd shots I took. Not quite up to the standard set by Mark E, but like all good workmen I blame my equipment.

Top: TFatC's 99T, Ragtopcab's GM900 V6, KevBu's 9-3, Bill J's 9000 Aero. Only the 99T and 9000 were participating.
Bottom: /john's 9-3, the Scaero

Action shots In order 1 x BillJ, 2 x /john, 2 x Scaero

TFatC's 99T

1) Tandino's immaculate T16 with extremely low miles
2) Ylee's beastly 420bhp (TBC) Aero gets a close inspection from JezF, BillJ, Ylee (centre, Andrew & Dad, /john (lurking behind post)

I tweaked up the loose hub nut as soon as I got home. I'll keep an eye on it.

Here is the video of my scary moment at Lavant Corner when I overstepped the rumble strip slightly onto the wet grass. It frightens me more now than it did at the time, but I tell myself I had slowed down quite a bit by the time I reached the embankment, that the 9000 is one of the best cars in the world to be in if you're going to have a collision and that the car would have sacrificed itself to save me. Doesn't help much, though
