Noticed under the strap on my 9000CS, there is a widdening wet patch, like a minor pin hole leak of some sort.

What is the best remedy for this?

Do I have to remove the tank and have it plastic welded?

Are there any pastes on the market that are suitable?

Are you sure the wet patch is petrol? Could it be water spray/dampness/moisture that's run down the strap?
