My much loved Saab 9-5 Griffin Estate has just blown its turbo and without the skills or cash to repair it I am having to let it go. Owned since 2003 when I bought it with 20k on the clock, it has never once let me down until last week when the Turbo went.

Maintained and serviced with no expense spared, service book and receipts available, full service last month, new wheel bearing last month, 2 new tyres on front, fully reconditioned gearbox last year by Auto Transmissions of Barnsley (cost £2000). Fantastic spec, all the Griffin extras including heated and ventilated leather electric memory seats, BOSE 9 speaker stereo with CD player, factory fitted sunroof, bodywork in good condition for its age, interior in good condition.

This has been my favourite car, it put a smile on my face every time I drove it. If I could repair it myself I would as the rest of the car is great. Would make an ideal project for an enthusiast or as spares for this rare model.

why not add some photos and price. or get your turbo reconned at middland turbo they did mine for £200.00
Thanks for your comments Jim. I am waiting for it to be dropped off by the garage then I will certainly take some pics of it. The garage has quoted me a lot more than that to repair it as they said the turbo couldn't be reconditioned.
Please send me a PM if you would like to buy an almost new turbo/manifold.
What price did you want for the car as I need the engine?
Thanks
Is this the one where the turbo is cast into the manifold rather than separate?

Yes, and they changed with the facelift MY 2000/01. The later ones have extra holes on the manifold for secondary air - messy!
