Has anyone got a driver's sunvisor for a 1992 9000 in beige? Mine has lost its 'click' and now hangs forlornly in front of my eyes - rather annoying.

Or is there a simple fix?

Only happened 10 minutes ago on my way into work, so I've not had time to even look at the cause.

Umm, so yours is floppy
Basically drivers sunvisors on 9000 are a known problem - like rocking horse sh*t to get hold of because they all break. Viagra will not fix it but it is possible to cut open the visor, fit a new clip (need to find something suitable cos you can not buy one) and glue the whole thing back up (thats what I did).
Now there are loads of passanger side visors that are OK (and cheap second hand) but no good, not many good drivers side ones and expensive if you find them. So we need someone to bag a load of passenger side sunvisors from scrappies in Sweden/France etc and sell em over here for a large profit. Anyone off on holiday soon?

The problem is the "U" shaped spring clip,it breaks at the apex of the U,I have repaired one of mine by cutting into the visor and drilling through the two halves of broken clip,I used a plastic number plate nut and bolt through the clip, this allows you to put some tension back, not a pretty repair, but has been OK for three years now,it was supposed to last a few days!!

Just spoken to a dealer - £55 delivered to my house. On the basis that the previous one lasted 10 years, I'm quite happy to buy a new one rather than bodge a job myself (and I know me - if it can be got wrong, I'll get it wrong!)
