Hello, I've just traded my Calibra for a 9-3 (W plate)...and then found out I'd bought a posh version of the Calibra...oh the irony! Very happy with overall spec and lovin' the power of the 9-3, not used to the handling though after the Calibra.
Anyway, I got the car home and I think the left channel on the head unit has blown. I called the local dealership and they said they could possibly have it repaired for £150 - ****** that!!! Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it themselves?

I think the left channel has gone as I've swapped over the dash speakers and I get a very little sound from front and rear LHS speakers, no matter where the balance and fade are oriented.

Apart from the obvious (fit an aftermarket unit) any ideas?

Picked up my clarion db348rmp head unit from the calibra, plugged it in and hey presto LHS of car now had sound too
Now all I need is the right harness adapter to be able to use the steer wheel controls. I've found this harness adapter but I don't know if it suits a 9-3 (2000 plate) can anyone confirm?
