I have a 2001 9-5 Aero 5-spd with 131K with some big repair bills on the horizon. The clutch which is still the original and quite impressive ( at least to me!) and the struts. The check engine light went on today so perhaps another problem brewing. The cars value is in the low $2K's and the work it closer to $3K. The rest of the car is in great shape but it still had 131K miles on it. This is my 5th Saab so I know there is most likely a lot of life left but since Saab is no more and part availability is questionable especially since its a 12 year old car might not be a good idea. My '80 900 5 door Turbo lost 2nd gear around 150K, no sure if this is typical or unusual but I'd hate to spend $3K and then 6 months later to have to pull the engine again for a gearbox. Any thoughts?
