i have just been on the vin decoder and entered my vin number however it does not quite match my log book, the 2 instances being year of manufacture 1991 (log) 1992 (vin) also the vin states that it is 2.3 fpt 200hp however i thought that the manual 2.3 fpt carlssons were 220 hp, any thoughts on this folks

This is correct.

Model Year 92 (as identified by VIN) manufactured from August 1991 to July 1992, so date of first registration can be late 1991 on a M92 car.

Model years do not conform to calendar years.
