Hello,
I'm trying to remove the top facia panel off my
96 9000cse to try and cure an annoying rattle behind the dashboard.
I've removed the screw from above the rev counter
and also the screws at either end of the facica
( where the speakers are ) but still the damm thing will not come off . The haynes manual says
this is all I need to unscrew , any ideas ??

I can't remember much but

glove box one(s),
Rev counter one,
Ones under Speaker grilles,
remember it clipped to the wire hauser running from let to right windscreen pillar, and the tight wire for the ACC sensor.

Other that that, try to find where it's tight and start hunting.

You have removed the windscreen pillar velour covers carefully so as to not break the plastic clips???

Wirghar,

I was wondering what you mean by the glovebox
as I have the passenger airbag I presume in its place ?.

Ps - I have unclipped the wire hauser but where is the ACC sensor wire ?

On the airbag there is a raised airbag/srs rubber panel about 30mm by 10mm in the top right hand corner.Lever this out carefully and the screw is set back behind one of the holes that held the little rubber panel in place.
