Don't know if this is the right forum for this question but:

Has anyone bought the electronic parts lists or workshop repair manuals on CD's as advertised on ebay ?

Are they any good / worth bothering with ?

Surely they must be better than Mr Haynes's cook book, especially for those with later model 9000's

What is the best repair manual that is available to the DIY repairer ?

ebay CD's for WIS and EPC are, almost without exception, pirate copies. Saabscene does not support or condone the trade in software piracy.

i have a grudge against haynes workshop manuals for never having enough detail on any one model

useually the model i have has the least info, eg wiring diagrams & interior removal.

Unfortunatly the EPC and WIS disc's available via ebay are illegal copies.

Saab do not supply these discs to anyone other than authorised dealers.

Saabscene does not approve or condone the use of any illegal copyrighted software.

As to Paper Manual's (always more useful in the field), It may be worth seeing if Mt Bentley does a manual for the Saab that's suitable.

I suspect the ebay CDs are usually 'unofficial' (ie pirated) copies, meaning that you are going to find the forum admin unable to comment as to their usefulness, whatever that might amount to.

I'm going to close this topic as we have had this discussion many times before (do a search).

I've also had a quick look around, and it appears that the Haynes is pretty much the only 9000 manual.
