My car engine rev. swing strangely and there was white smoke from exhaust pipe. I took my car to saab service center. They openned the intake pipe and there was engine oil all over. The turbo was leaking. I had the turbo remove and take it down to local shop for repair. The prop. seem to be intact, both intake and exhaust side. I need only to change some part. The shop, however, offer me to change the larger prop.
The exhaust prop. still same size but to intake side diameter is larger and the blades are wider and more upright. The modification will take around 3-5 days.
I think this is like changing to bigger turbo, only that the turbo lag maybe less since the prop. on exhaust side remain same size. Will report again when I get it back next Thursday.

The pics of my turbo and new prop.

Yes, what the garage are doing is making what is known as a hybrid turbo. By increasing the size/capacity of just the compressor wheel, you can generate extra hp capability without significantly increasing lag.

It works best with modified software.

Let us know how it goes!
