Hello all!

I have been off taking some pictures for my Tardis website today and thought I should ask you guys something...

Is there supposed to be something that goes over the end of the cylinder head as the arrow points below?



I've looked at various other pics on the web of similar cars and some people's are blank like mine, other people have something bolted over the end (a kind of egg shape piece of metal... sorry to be so vague!).

When I got Carlssons to inspect the car before I bought it they didn't mention anything...

There are also 2 or 3 different types of blanking plates depending on year.

Looks like you have the recessed cup type bung.

Others have a external disk like bung held in place by a Y shaped bracket using the thraeded hole below.

I'm not sure, but there may even have been a rubber bunged version.
