I have been trying to track down a series of electrical faults which may be due to connector problems. At the rear of the engine compartment under the plastic cover there are a number of likely contenders but how do you get them apart? Having squashed the plastic retainer clips open the two halves refuse to budge, any tips? I am about to apply the two mole wrench solution but this may cause yet more problems, at least the car is derivable even with the ABS light & blower motor permanently on. Help

Thanks Mike, I've tried that and started to damage the connector bodies, without any movement. I suspect they are not just tight but corroded suggesting this could be the cause of my problems.
