What the heck do you want the electric seat on for when
the interior is boiling hot[/b]
???

There is nothing wrong with the seat, it has a thermostatic switch which turns it off when it has reached a certain temperature. The heat of the sun is obviously enough to reach that temperature.

I think he means that the movement/adjustment of the seat is electric, ie: controlled by motors rather than manual adjustment. Not heated seats!  [/b]
Dohh.

It should have been obvious now that I think about it.
The cause is most likely a bad connection at one of the underseat connectors. A connection which is only just making at normal temperatures is breaking due to expansion when the interior is hot . Unplug any connectors associated with the seat, make sure they are nice and clean and re-plug them together firmly.

Loose connection seems most likely, but do the seat motors have a safety cut out on them to stop the motor grinding on if movement is obstructed?

If it's a thermal cut out to prevent the motor overheating you may be reaching the trigger point in hot weather. Are you still in Greece?
