hi all
got the new carlsson on sat and have just noticed it has what i believe to be a recurculating dump valve
what is the difference between that and an atmospheric dump valve , shouldn't they make a psssssttttt noise when you let the accelerator off and are they really worth using

The recirculating dump valve should be nice and quiet, whereas the atmospheric goes whoooosh.

I can tell you from my own experience that I had problems with another air reverberation in the airbox, so I reverted back the Abbott/Forge recirc type valve, however since removing the airbox my silent dumpvalve is no longer, at least the reverb has gone !

You do want to replace the standard valve at some point as the diaphrams are a weakness

I wouldn't expect any.

The reason I fitted a Forge DV is that it is servicable unlike the Bosch diapraghm DV that is likely to fail at some point.
