Hmm, I cut my old rubber ones out and then cut the new ones in half to fit in. 15k miles later and they're still fine (spot the bodger)

I was going to cut mine in 2 also but as they were out of the car pressed them in with a big vice.

Spot the broken lug on the alternator bracket...mines the same...design fault??
