I finally got round to fitting the 2nd dogbone bush to the Carly today (did the Scaero months ago).

Note the use of spare Saab parts (old brake discs, aero alloys and 14lb sledge, and 2*2 planed).

Only bug bear as per normal is that the Lambda wiring passes through a hole in this bracket so you have to delve under the false bulkhead to disconnect it.

Spot the broken lug on the alternator bracket...mines the same...design fault??[/b]

They should really make the lower lug shorter.

I broke this today with the tyre lever to move the alternator back to get to the lower bolts.

The one on the Scaero was the same, and the 2nd hand replace Scaero one (as the whole top eye had sheared on that) was broken too.

I don't think it makes a blind bit of difference to the running of the car as it's a swival point.

I didn't think anyone would notice...

And very ingenious set-up for pressing it in. I, rather unimaginatively, just used a vice  [/b]

Unfortunatly my vice would quite open out enough, and I couldn't find a bolt long enough to make a puller to pull it it.

It poped in really easilay like this, very litytle load.

The wheel was a scrapper (oval aero) that I straightened in a similar manner several years ago with full sucess (left jacked for 2 weeks and eased it back into shape).

It's round and does not need any additional weights to balance.
