When I have my bike rack fitted to the tow bar, the park assist goes nuts everytime I put the car in reverse.
Presumably it senses the rack as an obstacle.
Is there an easy way to temporarily disable the park assist?
Looking at WIS the diagrams show fuses 8 and 26 supply power but unfortunately also controls sunroof, SID and other goodies so pulling the fuse isn't an option.
Anyone found a solution to this?

On the 9-3 you can disable it from the setting menu using buttons on the steering wheel. Should be the same on the 95

When PARK ASSIST shows on SID, press and hold CLEAR until SID says PARK ASSIST OFF. It will remain off until you either re-engage it in the same way or the ignition is turned off.

Further to that, is there anyway we can get a crude diagnosis DIY on the sensors? Some sort of resistance check? Not in the mood to get it Teched yet.
