Ok, just clearing up a few niggles with the 9000CSe 2.3 LPT. Cured the tick over problem with a clean out of the AIC, thanks for your help, now the mis-fire. I have a mis fire throughout the rev range, very noticable when staionary and applying the throttle. More of a rumbling mis fire rather than a definite cough, if you see what i mean. This, reading from previous threads, is indicative of the DI cart. Can the Di be checked or does the whole red cylinder top unit have to be binned and a complete new unit installed? If it is a replacement required, where is the best source?

Alun, best way to check is to replace DI with a known good DI to see if it resolves the problem.

Your local Saab specialist may be able to help you with this - otherwise you my be best off going to the dealer. Best to let them diagnose than to buy something that you do not really need.

The 2.0 lpt cart will fit. I swapped the one from my wife's car to check if it was my cart that was shot. If you can find someone near by to lend you one its a sure fire way of nailing the problem.
