i dont think it will fit from a CD>HATCH,also CD strips were mainly smoked, so they would look out of place on the red/amber units of the hatch.
BTW does yours have an slightly oversize number plate on the rear?

I'll check the size of the one on my CDS when i manage to escape work.
Re the number plate size i know the rear one on my 91'hatch was larger than the front & also on the rear on the CDS ,this might pose a problem even if the decor panel from the CD would go on,but i suppose you could just change the plate

sizes for the CD 89' as follows:
top length 43.5cm
bottom length 40.5cm
height 10cm
look like there is enough room for the oversize plate in it as well
