I think my smokey problem was head gasket.

ive noticed oil escaping from the front of the head, and dripping down. when i looked this morning the pipe that connects the manifold to the head had blown off at the non return valve & i had a water leak on saturday.

What is the beest/worse case scinario im looking at?

Im currently in negotiation with the garage where i bought the car (i wont say who or where yet) but the when it was sold to me it was sold with a 6 month engin & gearbox waranty. when i called them before they said 3 months, i am currently in month 4 or 5.

The car had this warant on it because it was a new/recon engine & gearbox.

could my head bolts just need to be re-torqued?

is there a simple procedure for this?

smoke leves have increased and are now intermitent when going slow, oil levels are low, and there seems to be lots of preasure...is it too far gone for a re-torque? or is it a case of suck it and see?

What have you got to lose? I even re-used the cam cover gasket on my CSE.
