Damaged ski hatch latching mechanism
Hi,
On my 9-3 SW the ski hatch in the rear seat, or load-through hatch as it is called in the manual, does not open easily. Using the handle at the front does not pull down the latch enough to release it, and I end up having to use a screwdriver from the rear to force the latch down. My guess is that somebody in the distant past tried forcing it open when it was locked, and has somehow damaged or overextended the spring that is inside the plastic casing!
Is it easy enough to open up the plastic casing to try and get to the internal latching/locking mechanism?
Has anybody tried this before?
