Hi Guys,

I intend to make use of the Tel1 cable and the existence of the factory steering wheel
buttons and the factory mic to get a parrot mki9100 working in the car ('57 plate 9-3 Aero)

Now..... i am ok on the wiring side of things ( i reckon, but time will tell!). My question here is
how do i get the long narrow panel where the cup holder lives out of the dash, as the green
rectangle Land vehicle Vehicle Car Center console Steering wheel

shows where i intend to fit the screen of the mki9100? I could simply put the parrot
screen on top as most normal people would, but i want to somehow flush mount it to make
it look as "factory" as possible and not stuck on as an afterthought!!

I have been told by Phil at Justcarkits ( very helpful guy) that the SID will not function with
the parrot and is the only stumbling block in making it completely factory, hence the Parrot screen
going on/in the thin panel. Unless any wizards on here DO know how to enable the SID for the parrot??

Anyhow..... for starters, simply, how do i get this panel out of the dash??

Thanks in advance

Trev

As they said above - you have to work your way down from the top - vents first, then stereo. But believe me those vents are a real PITA to remove, start from the left hand side work top & bottom pull out slowly, you'll hear a click when it's coming. But be warned use plastic tools as metal will scratch the dash to buggery.

Thanks for the info guys!

As and when i do get a mki9100 via ebay, i will have a go at all of this but what i am wondering
is if the depth of the Parrot kit will be a problem depending on what i find behind the panel.

Didnt realist you hadnt bought the kit - install this instead http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_categoryId_254705_productId_832737_langId_-1?cm_mmc=GooglePPC-_-Google%20Product%20Search-_-In-Car%20Technology%2FiPod%2FiPad%2FiPhone%20%26%20MP3%20Player%20Accessories%2FFM%20Transmitters-_-Belkin%20Car%20Audio%20Connect%20Aux-Bluetooth&source=ppc

This is what I have and it's brilliant - Ok granted it doesnt use the phone buttons on the steering wheel, but who cares when it integrates with my Iphone and I can play my itunes in the stereo, mutes when a call comes in and the speaker is in built into the big button you fit on your dash. I've also got a brodit iphone cradle on my dash for my iphone, so I can also use tomtom with live traffic updates, play my music, mute the music for tomtom navigation, and take calls as well- enough said, no engineer install required, no cables to retro fit and no damage to dash :)
