Hi
I was wondering if there is any way to install a genuine saab cruise control thingy in the car or an aftermarket one if there is such thing because my 9000 doesn't have one but since its so bloody comfortable, i'd like to take it on long trips. Any suggestions guys?
Thanks

Hi,

How old's your car? They changed the system at some point in the model's life so I can only help with the later one.

I fitted cruise to my 1997 which didn't have it. All I needed was the control box which bolts onto the battery tray (holes already there) and then onto the throttle. Then I needed a new indicator stalk with the cruise function on it, and finally switches to go on the clutch and brake pedals (brake only for autos).

I got all the bits for about a total of £50 (A$125?) from scrapyards, and fitted it in 30 minutes (taking my time, and I'm not a legend with a spanner). All the wiring is already done, and the mounting points are all there.

Easy!
