Hi All
I need help.
My Saab 9000i has a intermittent problem with the crankshaft sensor, and just stops dead on me.
Can some please tell me where on the engin it is and the best way to get to it.

Many thanks

Had a dicky crank sensor on my old 9000 (1991 2.0 Turbo) and that used to stop dead intermittantly and without warning. It is indeed located behind the crank pulley (although on later Trionic cars I think it might have moved to the gearbox end????).

Pretty easy to access - remove the alternator belt and wheel arch lining (just the front section if I recall), undo the crank pulley nut (think I put the car in 3rd gear and got someone to stomp on the brake when doing this), pull off the pulley and the sensor is there behind it, held on by two screws.
