just spent a couple of hours with Dave Palmer at Millenium Saab in Charlton doing a few bits to my 9000 griffin. Dome interesting points:-

1.my headlights were faulty and sometimes wouldn;t turn on from the dash switch. This turned out to be melted light connects at the headlight caused by the bulbs getting hot Dave says. This in turn affects your headlight relay and buggers the lot!

So were your old bulbs not the right spec then? or was the headlight faulty. I found that my head lights on my Griffin wouldn;t turn off one night. The relay was to blame. I think they get rather hot in the engine bay and that can cause failure (the relay box has plenty of air around it with the 2.3 but with the V6 it is a bit tight in there) .
