just had Dave Palmer at millenium give my throttle housing a clean and what a difference!

thought the old girl (2.3T Griffin see saab 9000.com gallery under Richard Estrop's Griffin) was a running a little sluggish. Boost now back to just into the red on guage (wastegate has been wound out a bit!).

just a pitty the roads are wet round here at the mo :-(

I just did a DIY cleaning on the throttle body over the weekend and yes, it is now raining so unable to see what difference it made. I would be interested to know exactly what was done.
I just removed the rubber boot leading to the TB and hosed it out with Carb cleaner. I also cleaned the accumulated gunk from inside the boot.
Did you go any deeper into it? Maybe I can do more this coming weekend.

how exactly does the cover come off ...i was going to clean mine this past weekend but i could figure out how to get it open to clean it out

just undid the clamps, took the hose off, hold open the throttle to full, spray a load of carb cleaner on a wrag, put this over tooth brush and give a good clean

I reckon this hadn;t been done last time it was serviced cause it was filthy!

top end performance I reckon is about 10-20% more umph!!
