Following on from a story we covered a week or so ago, the charity auction for the Saab 9-3 Convertible owned by swing singer Roger Cicero has sold on Ebay.

Cicero was selling the Saab on Ebay in conjunction with Saab as a charity effort to raise money for the Save The Children fund. It seem like the auction was a resounding success, too, with almost 80,000 visitors to the bidding page and the Convertible raising 21.161 Euro.

The winning bidder was Peter Braun, who surprised his family with a new ride and some tickets to a Roger Cicero concert in Hamburg, where he received the keys. his wife and daughter are both big Cicero fans, so I assume that smoothed the path to purchase quite a bit.

Here’s a photo of Mr Braun receiving the keys from Roger Cicero.

And here’s a photo of a questionable suit and shoe selection by the PR guy from Saab Germany.

Oh, and they’re also handing over the giant cheque to Kathrin Wieland from Save The Children.

It’s a great outcome for all parties concerned. Congratulations to Saab Germany on a generous gesture and association with a successful campaign. The funds raised will go to benefit children in Romania as part of Save The Children’s work there.
