Glad to here things are OK at the moment, I think I would have taken a risk given the price! I understand that should this valve act up they can usualy be fixed by giving them a good clean inside with Carb. cleaner.

There in lies a story
The reason I needed a new one is that I tried cleaning the old one and broke it in the process! Before that stops anyone else cleaning theirs I should add that I was trying to get some stubborn deposits off with the end of a screwdriver and damaged it. This caused it to jam but as I did not know how it worked I wasn't sure how to fix it.
My stupid fault for not being a bit more patient with the carb cleaner! (there was already marks which makes me think the PO had tried the same thing)
