Edmunds.com organized a chat with Saab USA president & COO yesterday night.
The users could ask her live questions.
I was concerned mainly with the safety aspect of the 9-2X.
There are no yaw based stability system on the
9-2X and no plans to make it available.
Contrary to the Sub, it has head side impact protection and was extensively crash tested by Saab.
The NAV will never be available on this generation 9-2X.
Extensive sound deadening package to reduce road and drivetrain noise.
Softer springs & dampers.
The current 9-2X will be very short lived.
The 9-3X is coming within 18 months and a major facelift for the 9-5 is due within 18 months as well.
Brand new sound systems (Bose) will be available for 2005 on the 9-3SS (I forgot to ask about the 9-5)

i don't think the 9-3X is being released. i think you mean the 9-3 sport hatch.

saab wouldn't have the money to release an all new model.

My mistake.
