I'm sure I've seen this problem mentioned here before but I've done some searching and I can't find it.

Whenever I lock the car the lock on the fuel flap makes a loud buzz/rattle. Upon inspection the 'bolt' (for want of the actual term) is rapidly moving back and forth. It lasts about a second then stops.

Any easy fixes available?

there is the easy one (expensive)
or the cheap one (easy or difficult )

easy one.... buy /have fitted a new lock actuator
saab dealer ..v expensive

or
Take apart the actuator and fix
there has been discussion on this here in the past

or
easy and cheap

just leave it
mine has been doing it for the last 5 years

great for annoying the neighbours at 1 am...
at least you know when you have locked it !!

Mine sounded like a machine gun rather than a rattle.
Took it off the car, could not work out how to fix it so left it off. Cheap fix.
