I am looking for some-one who can set up my cams for me
Ideally with a rolling road where we can try out the timings

(needs to have a 450 hp + capacity hopefully )

anybody know of anyone who would/could tackle this ?

Not exactly - but I'm planning on fitting a cam-shaft sensor to my car - it's for the sync on the Motec so if it works I'll let you know how it was done. Then you can expiriment with the timing yourself !!

ylee, it's a long way I know but there's a RR near me that I know can handle 600hp, and the guy there knows his stuff.

Ylee, I know this is 'locking the stable door after the horse has bolted', but, I take it from this request that the cost of your monster engine rebuild/mods didn't include a dyno setup prior to installation.......
Something I would have expected as part of the deal IMHO.

well no..
What I did was an amalgam of several things
which the result of whichwas that the cams are very sensitive to timing
on a standard head (which the maptun stage 6 is designed for) there is significant port resistance which "eases" the flow
My head flows pretty well but what that means is that the breathing gets very sensitive to valve overlap and needs to be set up carefully

In hindsight I should not have done both at once
stage 6 first and then the engine mods
but the engine needed freshening up so I decided to do it all at once ..

So no comeback on anybody but me ...

Learned a lot tho
Cam timing next
Should be fun ..my research indicates you can do lots like moving peak power up and down the rev range adjusting for peak torque ,all kinds of stuff..
hence the need for a rolling road

I have a simulator for naturally aspirated engines that I can run your cam specs through. Obviously there are other things to consider with a turbocharged engine, but it might give some limited insight.

I'd just need lift, IVO, IVC, EVO, EVC.

It would at least tell you where the cams are flowing best, even if it won't tell you how they'll interact with the rest of your parts.

This sounds like the sort of thing Dave Walker at Emerald would enjoy. It's a long old haul from Linlithgow to Norfolk though!

Ylee could always leave it down here for a month or 2 and I'd 'look' after it....

There used to be a specialist "citreon" tuner down in dumfries-shire area, who have great reputation, they do all types of engines and custom dastek chip tuning etc.
Worth a try before you head far south.

I have the web address and name somewhere, if you cant find them then i could do a thorough search through my old car stuff.

It did occur to me that last weekend's run at Rave's place was a missed opportunity!
