I am in the process of changing all my vacuum hoses on my 1990 cds, and have noticed a split in the rubber tube that goes from the turbo to the intercooler/intake metal pipe (it's the hose where the apc soleniod tubes plug into. i have glued a rubber patch inside the tube, and rubber sealeant on the outside untill i can find a replacement, but what i have noticed is wheni disconnect the vacuum hose for the Bypass Valve at the "y" piece, i tried to suck on this hose to see if the valve was ok, i could not get any vacuum at all, in fact no resistance at all, but if i blow into the hose, i cant. would this suggest a bad valve, or has it been put on the wrong way around.

any advice greatly appreciated
